Caring for your jewelry
Jewelry care is the most important part of owning a piece of beautiful handmade jewelry. Special care should be given to pieces with stones, especially natural opal and turquoise. We would advise that you keep all your jewelry in a safe, dry place when you are not wearing them. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns over the care of your jewelry, we are always happy to advise and help.
Solid Gold
Your solid gold pieces can be worn non-stop. Gold will tarnish slightly over time. You can clean your Gold pieces with a soft microfibre cloth when needed or with a mild dishsoap.
Pearls
Pearls can be affected by cosmetics, fragrance, and harsh chemicals over time. So we encourage you to take extra care when wearing our pearls to ensure longevity. You can clean your pearls with a soft microfibre cloth as and when needed to remove any substances they may have come into contact with.
Opals & Stones
Opals and gemstones can be soft and susceptible to breakage if they are not worn with care. A rule for all pieces with stones is ‘last thing on, first thing off’ To keep them sparkly, avoid water, pools, harsh chemicals, etc.
Sterling Silver
Sterling Silver pieces can be worn non-stop but can tarnish over time if exposed to salty air or chemicals. We’d advise wiping your silver pieces or cleaning them gently with warm soapy water and then silver polish with a microfibre cloth if they come into contact with any of the above.
