Do you make customs?
I do not take custom orders.
Is your jewelry pure gold and silver?
Yes, I only work with solid 14k gold and solid sterling silver. I would never work with cheaper metals or plated gold jewelry, its garbage and will not last.
Where do you find your vintage pieces?
I have collected many pieces on the road over many years. Most are from my private collections. Vintage southwest turquoise pieces Ive collected over many years and I only get and collect ones that are Native made.
Where do you get your turquoise from?
Currently, all turquoise I own and work with is old old stock that Ive been sitting on for ages. You’d be surprised how much fake turquoise is out there, real natural old turquoise that’s not color treated is getting rare, most of the mines have long closed, most huge pieces you see around on Instagram are either fake or super low quality colored turquoise, or cut in India or China, so ask questions and do research.
How do you carve your solid pieces?
All my cast pieces are first carved in wax or stone medium, molds are made after and they are cast in a centrifuge in gold or silver.
Why are some of your pieces one of a kind?
My earliest old stock pieces are in ancient filigree style can only be one of a kind. Each piece was hand fabricated, wire milled by hand and tiny little squiggle put in one by one. This art is very rare because it’s so hard and time laborious. But it could never be imitated, whereas a cast piece, anyone can take a mold of and steal your design, and it happens all the time.
Where is your studio located?
Im located between Arizona and So Cal.
Do you have a team?
Yes, my family and animals.
How can I see your pieces in person?
I sometimes host Romantic Cowgirl parties, where I can come to you and a bigger group of friends and set up a table of my goodies for you to look at and buy.
